Kenner's Rivertown

Located along the shores of the mighty Mississippi River, Kenner's Rivertown is a sixteen block historic district offering a host of cultural and family attractions. Treat the kids to a performance at the Children's Castle, let them dress up and play king or queen at the Mardi Gras Museum and amaze them at the Louis J. Roussel Jr. Planetarium & MegaDome Cinema. Let them be the conductor at the Louisiana Toy Train Museum or the lead astronaut on a NASA prototype at Kenner's Space Station. The full-size NASA International Space Station prototype allows visitors get a first hand look at daily living and working in space. Dedicated to space travel and technology, the Space Station is one of only two in existence today. Other space-related exhibits where visitors can explore spin-off technology with a Space Robot, touch the 4 billion year old Gibeon Meteorite, and take a walk through the history timeline of the 20th century.

Celebrate Native American heritage at the Cannes Brûlée Native American Village an indoor museum exhibiting a collection of traditional and contemporary artworks created by contemporary American Indian artisans from Louisiana and the Southeast. View basketry, jewelry, tools, weapons, musical instruments, clay pottery, wood carvings, children's toys, model dwellings, paintings, moccasins, Dreamcatchers, a dugout cypress pirogue and more. The museum is part of the Rivertown Museums and located inside of the Rivertown Exhibition Hall. Various native artists will be on hand to demonstrate their craft-works at special events hosted throughout the year.
