Fat Tuesday celebration kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on the east bank of Jefferson Parish along the traditional Veterans Memorial Boulevard route where you will experience carnival with the Krewe of Argus parade, then followed by 2 truck - float parades throughout the afternoon!  The Krewe of Jefferson Trucks and the Krewe of Elks.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the annual Metairie Road St. Patrick's Day Parade.  Held each year the Sunday prior to St. Patrick's Day.  Parade features floats and marching clubs. Throws include the traditional carnival beads, cups, and trinkets, as well as cabbage and other vegetables!  Taking traditional Metairie Road Route.  Each year an Irish Grand Marshal is chosen to lead the parade.

12:00 p.m. Celebrate St. Patrick's & St. Joseph's Day at the Louisiana Irish-Italian Parade.  Traditional floats and truck floats and marching clubs.  Carnival throws, cabbage and vegetables!  Each year there is an Irish Grand Marshal and an Italian Grand Marshal.  Traditional Veterans Memorial Boulevard route.   Visit organization's website for information at www.lairish-italian.org.
