Come relax after a long week...kick back and enjoy free "live" concerts every 3rd Friday of the month during spring, summer and fall.  May revs up with Charmaine Neville, June brings Chris Servin, July features Vince Vance & the Valliants, August heats up with the Aaron Foret Band, September De-Javu' Band, October brings Chris Servin back, and things cool down in November with Fleur de Lis.  Concerts are 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. May, October & November.  Concerts are 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. June, July, August & September.  Call 504-644-4101 for more details.

Dixie's Art Event Space with 3,000 sq. feet exhibition hall with 20 foot-high ceiling and excellent lighting will feature 20 booths with painting demonstrations, an art supplies sale market, cartoonist, jewelers, and more; plus prizes and refreshments from Noon til 5pm on market Saturdays.  Jay Nix of New Orleans' famous Parkway Bakery will be on hand making his po-boys and selling memorabilia he collected for Parkway.  Entertainment during the afternoon as well.

Haydel's Bakery, a local favorite for over 50 years has temaed up with the New Orleans Saints in an attempt to make the World's Largest King Cake around the Louisiana Superdome. Net proceeds from the event will Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
