The Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. received accreditation the summer of 2012 from the internationally acclaimed Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP).  The accreditation means that the JCVB meets or exceeds global standards in hospitality marketing and development.

Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation relocates it's office from Lakeway 3. Effective, Monday, February 16, 2013, the Education and Development Divisions will be located at the New Canal Lighthouse, 8001 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124. The Executive Director, Administration, Water Quality and Coastal Divisions will be located on the Campus of UNO in the CERM Building. Louisiana Tax Free Logo

 

Louisiana is the first state to offer foreign visitors a refund of state and local taxes on goods when purchased from a retailer who is a member of Louisiana Tax Free Shopping. We encourage all retail stores to participate in the program in order to represent and market Louisiana as a Tax Free Shopping state. Increasing international tourism and shopping Louisiana will benefit the entire state as well as business. Click here to view new members!

So many great things happening in Jefferson!  Many of our member hotels have completed, or are in the process of major guest-room & public area renovations, Lafreniere Park opened the Spray Park,  NOLA Motorsports Park came racing into town with 'karting' and more, Bucktown Harbor, Park and Marina has completed Phase I, and the Bonnabel & Laketown Boat launches include improved recreational areas, and boat slips, and the Jefferson Oyster Trail is now a reality!  The Jefferson Parish Artscapes is also a reality after much work and dedication by Jefferson Parish Streets Department in cooperation with beautification programs  Read on for more details...
