The Jefferson Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. received accreditation the summer of 2012 from the internationally acclaimed Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP). The accreditation means that the JCVB meets or exceeds global standards in hospitality marketing and development.

Greg Buisson, owner of Buisson Creative, and former GM of WVUE FOX 8 was awarded the Silver Medal Lifetime Achievement Award February 23, 2013 by the Ad Club of New Orleans, highlighting the annual Addy Awards.

Louisiana is the first state to offer foreign visitors a refund of state and local taxes on goods when purchased from a retailer who is a member of Louisiana Tax Free Shopping. We encourage all retail stores to participate in the program in order to represent and market Louisiana as a Tax Free Shopping state.
