Established in 1928, the Tarpon Rodeo is the oldest fishing tournament in the United States. Located at the Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo Pavilion, the tournament has evolved into a three day festival with activities for all ages.
Fishing starts at dawn the morning of July 24th, the pavilion typically opens at 11:00 a.m. . Sign up for crab races - kids have a ball with this one! By the time evening comes around settle in for great live entertainment.
July 25th brings more fishing, races and night time entertainment! Make sure to bring your cameras for a photo opportunity with rodeo participants and special guest attendees.
Award ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m. July 26th for the childrens' awards. Deadline to weigh in your catch is 6:00 p.m.
Dance into the evening with live entertainment prior to the covenant rodeo awards! Then, the celebration continues with more live entertainment!
